Three shows a year, six days each — but Brimfield isn't one event with one opening bell. Here's the actual schedule.

There's No Single Opening Day
Brimfield is a collection of 20+ independently owned and operated fields along Route 20, not one show run by one company. Each field sets its own opening day and time within the six-day window — some open Tuesday at sunrise, others don't open until Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.
That means "when should I go" really depends on which fields you care about. See our field-by-field directory for actual opening times, or the first-timer's guide for a suggested plan.
Which Show Should You Go To?
May
One of the two biggest shows of the year. Cooler weather than July.
July
Generally the quietest of the three — summer heat keeps some shoppers and vendors away.
September
The other big show of the year, and the last one before the following May.

May and September tend to draw the largest crowds. July runs hotter, which keeps both shoppers and some vendors away compared to the spring and fall shows.
