No — most are free. A handful of the larger fields charge a small fee, usually only on their opening day, to guarantee early buyers first pick of fresh inventory.

That number gets repeated everywhere, but the two venue operators who actually state a show-wide figure on their own sites — Central Park Antique Shows and Shelton Antique Shows — both phrase it as an approximate ceiling, not a guaranteed minimum: Central Park says "upwards of 5,000 vendors" and Shelton says "up to 5000" dealers, both across roughly 22 individual shows. So "5,000+" (implying at least 5,000) overstates what the actual sources say — "up to 5,000" is the more accurate framing, and it's still a self-reported estimate from show operators, not an audited count. A bottom-up total tells a different story: a July 2026 print show guide (Journal of Antiques & Collectibles) publishes a per-field dealer-space count for 19 of the 21 fields, and those add up to roughly 3,300 spaces — each number stated as a minimum ("450+", etc.), so the real total is somewhat higher, but it's still well short of 5,000.
