Brimfield Finder (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use brimfieldfinder.com.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Newsletter signup: Your email address, if you subscribe.
• Dealer listings: If you create a dealer page, the business name, Instagram handle, and public content (bio, photos, posts) pulled from that Instagram account.
• Dealer phone number and text messages (SMS): If you're a dealer who moves fields from day to day, you may enter your phone number and check a box asking us to text you. See “Text Messages” below for exactly what that covers.
• Optional display name: If you use the map's group-sharing feature, a first name you choose to type in — not required, and not tied to an account.

Text Messages (SMS)

Dealers who set up in a different field on different days can opt in, from their own listing editor, to a nightly text reminding them to confirm the next day's field. This is the only text messaging program we run — we do not send SMS to shoppers or to dealers who haven't opted in.

• Who it's for: dealers only, and only ones who check the “I set up in a different field on different days” box and provide a phone number.
• What we send: one message per evening during an active show week, with a link to confirm or update the next day's field. No marketing texts, no third-party messages.
• Frequency: up to 1 message/day, only during show weeks. Message and data rates may apply.
• How to stop: reply STOP at any time to cancel, or uncheck the box in your listing editor. Reply HELP for help, or contact hello@brimfieldfinder.com.
• Sharing: your phone number is used only to send this reminder (via our SMS delivery provider, Twilio) and is never sold, shared with other dealers, or used for anything else.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Location Data

With your browser's permission, we use your device's location for three specific features, all opt-in per use:

• Distance display: showing how far you are from a point on the live map.
• Save-your-parking-spot: stored locally on your own device only, unless you choose to share it (see below).
• Group sharing: if you start or join a shopping group (a short code or link, no account required), your shared parking pin or “here I am” location is visible to anyone else who has that same group code or link — not to the general public, and not to us beyond operating the feature. These pins expire automatically (2 hours for a location pin, 24 hours for a parking pin) and you can delete your own at any time from the map.

You control all of this through your browser's location permission and the site's own “leave group” and “clear saved spot” controls.

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type and device information
• Pages viewed, via Vercel Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to operate the site's features (newsletter, dealer directory, live map, group sharing), understand traffic and usage, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

Dealer listings are public by design. Group-sharing location pins are visible only to people with that specific group's code or link. We share information with the service providers that run the site (hosting, database, analytics, email delivery) and, for dealer listings, with Meta/Instagram's public API to display a dealer's own public content. We may disclose information when required by law.

4. Your Privacy Choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any email
• Stop the dealer field-reminder texts any time by replying STOP, or by unchecking the box in your listing editor
• Leave a shopping group or clear a saved parking spot directly from the map at any time
• Control location permissions and cookies through your browser settings
• Request removal of a dealer listing or other data: hello@brimfieldfinder.com

5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Contact hello@brimfieldfinder.com to exercise these rights.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database and hosting providers.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
