How Many Days Do You Need at Brimfield?

Short answer: one day gets you a real Brimfield experience, two days gets you nearly everything, and three-plus days is the only way to see all 21 fields. The reason isn't vague — it's that each field sets its own opening days, and we counted exactly how many are open on each one. See the full field-by-field schedule for the source data.

Fields open, by day

Of Brimfield's 21 fields, most run the full Tuesday–Sunday week. The differences come from a handful of fields with a narrower window:

• Tuesday: 15 fields open. Includes the only two fields that ever open: Dealer's Choice and Treasure Trunk Tuesday.
• Wednesday: 16 fields open. Hertan's, Heart-O-The-Mart, and New England Motel Antique Shows join.
• Thursday: 17 fields open. May's Antique Market joins.
• Friday: 18 fields open. Brimfield Auction Acres joins.
• Saturday: 19 fields open. The peak — every field is open except Dealer's Choice and Treasure Trunk Tuesday.
• Sunday: 17 fields open. Brimfield Auction Acres and May's Antique Market have closed for the week.

The 1-Day Plan

There's a real tradeoff, not an obvious answer. Saturday has the most fields open of any single day (19) — but it's also the most crowded day of the week, and by Saturday, fields that opened Tuesday or Wednesday have already had their best inventory picked over. Tuesday has fewer fields open (15) but is the only day you can catch Dealer's Choice and Treasure Trunk Tuesday — both are Tuesday-only — plus every field is at its freshest.

If breadth matters more to you, go Saturday. If freshness and the Tuesday-exclusive fields matter more, go Tuesday. There's no day that gives you both.

The 2-Day Plan

Two consecutive days can't catch every field — the Tuesday-only fields and the weekend-only Weekend Warrior Show (Saturday–Sunday, held at Brimfield Antique Shows/Hertan's) never overlap on a normal calendar. Two realistic strategies:

• Friday + Saturday — the two highest field-counts back to back (18 and 19), catching Weekend Warrior and nearly everything else except the two Tuesday-only fields.
• Tuesday + Saturday (non-consecutive, if your trip allows it) — this is the only two-day combination that catches literally every field on the flyer, since it covers both Tuesday-only fields and the weekend-only field in the same trip.

The 3+ Day Plan

Any three-plus day trip that includes both Tuesday and a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) will cover all 21 fields without having to choose. Tuesday through Saturday is the most common way regulars structure a full trip — it front-loads the freshest inventory and still catches the weekend-only field before the show wraps Sunday.

The bottom line

Match your trip length to what you actually want: a single strong day (Tuesday for freshness, Saturday for breadth), a two-day trip that covers almost everything (Friday–Saturday), or a longer stay if seeing every one of the 21 fields matters to you.
