Which Brimfield Field Should You Visit First?

With 21 independently run fields, "where do I start" is the first question every first-timer asks. Rather than rank on vibes, here's a ranking built only on what's actually verifiable from each field's own published information — dealer counts, opening times, admission, and whether a field runs the full six days or just part of the week. See the full field-by-field directory for the complete data behind this.

1. If you only have one Tuesday: Dealer's Choice

400 dealers is the single largest confirmed dealer count of any field on the official schedule — stated directly on the venue's own site, not a show-wide estimate. The catch: it's Tuesday-only, and it doesn't open until 11am, later than most of the Daybreak fields. If you're field-hopping from sunrise, plan to loop back for Dealer's Choice rather than starting there — it's not open any other day of the week.

2. Your best all-week starting point: Sturtevant's Antique Shows

Sturtevant's states "over 200 dealers" on its own site, is free to enter, opens at daybreak Tuesday, and — unlike Dealer's Choice — runs all six days. Among fields with a confirmed dealer count, it's the strongest combination of size, cost, and availability if you want a field you can return to later in the week.

3. A solid, confirmed second stop: Central Park Antique Shows

Central Park states "up to 150 spaces" on its own site, opens at 6am Tuesday, is free, and also runs the full six days. Smaller than Sturtevant's by the numbers, but it's also the field whose own site made the specific "upwards of 5,000 vendors show-wide" claim we cross-checked in our FAQ — worth a look if that overall-scale framing is what drew you to Brimfield.

4. Everything else: unconfirmed, but not necessarily smaller

Of the 21 fields on the schedule, only three — Dealer's Choice, Sturtevant's, and Central Park — publish a specific dealer count. The other 18, including long-running fields like Green Acres, Shelton Antique Shows, Crystal Brook, and Grand Trunk, simply don't state a number anywhere we could find. That's a gap in what's published, not evidence they're smaller — we're not going to rank a field lower just because it hasn't stated a count. Treat this ranking as "best documented," not "best overall."

If you're arriving later in the week

The daybreak-Tuesday cluster above isn't your only option. A second wave of fields opens Wednesday — Brimfield Antique Shows (Hertan's), Heart-O-The-Mart, and New England Motel Antique Shows all start their week then — and May's Antique Market doesn't open until Thursday.
